Licensing
Affordable Driving Academy is licensed by the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) to conduct driver training. All courses are delivered in compliance with SCDMV requirements and applicable state laws.
Scope of Services
Our services include teen driver education, adult driving lessons, road test preparation, defensive driving courses, and refresher courses as described on our website. The specific scope, schedule, and cost of any course will be agreed upon between the student (or parent/guardian) and the school before enrollment.
Student Requirements
Students are expected to:
- Hold a valid SC beginner's permit or driver's license as appropriate for the course
- Arrive on time for scheduled lessons
- Be free from the influence of alcohol or drugs during all instruction
- Follow all instructor directions during behind-the-wheel training
- Provide truthful and accurate information during enrollment
Cancellation Policy
We require at least 24 hours notice for lesson cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. Repeated no-shows may result in forfeiture of remaining lessons.
Payment
Payment terms are agreed upon at enrollment. Full payment or an agreed-upon payment plan must be established before training begins. Refund policies will be outlined in the enrollment agreement.
Liability
While Affordable Driving Academy maintains comprehensive insurance coverage on all training vehicles, the school shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in our courses, except as required by applicable law. Students participate in behind-the-wheel training at their own risk.
Completion Certificates
Completion certificates are issued only to students who successfully fulfill all course requirements, including attendance and skill assessments. Certificates are non-transferable and are reported to the SCDMV as required.
